The Historic Grange estate has been enjoyed as a favourite weddings and events location for decades. It is newly renovated and opened up to provide you with more accommodation options so your dream of a perfect day (or weekend) will come to life.

The HG events centre is located on the grounds known as “The Grange” or more simply, “The HG” or “the g”.

EXCLUSIVE USE – you won’t have to share The Grange with anyone – no adjoining bars & shops and no public access.

The estate includes the historic homestead, large events hall, onsite parking, over twelve glorious acres of parkland with a billabong (oxbow lake), central garden, fountain, arbor, large firepit, tennis court, games, cocktail balconies… and plentiful idyllic photographic locations!

DINING & DECORATIONS – variety of items to match your style including tableware, vases, linen napkins, glassware, cutlery and crockery all included.

VARIETY of tables – for cake, signing, gifts, wishing well, candy corner, favours, guest messages…

PROFESSIONAL SOUND EQUIPMENT, LIGHTING & ENTERTAINER’s STAGE – to bring your event to life, creating magical atmospherics inside and out… with disco laserlights, fairy lights, chandeliers…

The HG pavilion
Your reception is set to be fabulous ~ hosted in the wonderful HG pavilion – a long hall with raked ceilings, timber flooring, fire places, large or intimate dance spaces, long veranda fronting the circular garden, balcony overlooking the lake & quirky memorabilia… & the hall can be configured various ways to your liking…
Providing a terrific atmosphere for intimate parties to packed-house events,
with various table configurations from side-by-side to long-table dining.
  • We price for smaller/intimate parties through to larger events, with homestead & hall, we can host 140 guests seated, 150+ standing/seated
  • We work with you and within YOUR budget!
  • Long verandas for pre/post drinks, long-table dining or simply hanging out, overlooking the circular garden & fountain
  • Two bars at each end of the hall (inc. espresso machines, beer taps, cocktails…)

Outdoor celebrations

  • There are many beautiful places across the estate to hold your ceremony. Wedding vows & nuptials under the large gumtree beside the billabong/lake is just one special place among many. For outdoors:
    • 120+ folding timber chairs
    • Shabby-chic trestle tables for around the gardens
    • Optional platform for celebrant & bridal party (& optional mats)
    • Outdoor PA system
    • Large fire pit & a small (mobile) fire pit for smoking ceremonies
    • Optional outdoors mobile drinks service

Beverages & drinks packages

  • The HG pavilion is a fully licensed venue with options for providing beverages to your guest, such as:
    • Full bar & sommelier services where everything you require is provided as a package
    • Beverage packages range from house/budget to premium & deluxe, plus non-alcoholic
    • Bar service for bar tabs & pay-as-you-go for drinks (as well as or instead of before/after drinks packages)
    • Spirit & cocktail packages may also be made available

Catering options

  • The HG pavilion has a commercial kitchen, giving you catering options:
    • Several local caterers are recommended. You can choose from an easy-going , casual affair to formal dining, or something in between
    & think about including fabulous local produce – seafood, oysters, cheese…
  • One trend is to have a casual starter (grazing tables or served hors d’oeuvres) followed by a sit-down, seated main course (casual shared plates, buffet style or more formal served), and then a casual dessert
    • Wedding cake can also be served casually, take-home &/or plated
    • You might even like to BYO & make use of the kitchen yourself, allowing that inner-chef to shine

You’ve had a wonderful night’s sleep in one of the magical rooms of the heritage house. 
Swinging open the French doors, you step out onto the wrap-around Federation veranda and out into the fresh country air.
You feel compelled to wonder down to the oxbow lake – a billabong at the edge of the garden. Sensing the joy of past ceremonies held under the shade of the gumtree, you smile with delight.
On your way back to the house, you stop to smell the roses and visit the goldfish in the fountain pond, central to the large, circular cottage garden.
Venturing onto the tennis court for a quick volley or scoring a few netball goals before…
Making your way to the beach for a refreshing dip.  
Finding a quiet corner with a book or magazine, perhaps an espresso, tea or even a sneaky cocktail?

Entering the pavilion together, the room is full of cheer & the party begins.
Dancing through the night, singing around the warmth of the glowing fire pit.
Strings of fairy lights provide the romantic backdrop you were hoping for, and the dance floor is ready for tripping the light fantastic.
It’s hard to know whether you should party into the night or retire back to the bridal suite… but it’s your day, you get to decide.

Reflecting on the wonderful day, you wake up to the sounds of the country… beach, tennis, a post-party breakfast barbecue, maybe something more substantial… a RECOVERY PARTY perhaps?
